2014 originals on drawing table
I was just getting started and explored lots of different styles, subjects, and mediums.
The pumpkins in the photo are not real -- I'd have to be crazy to put that much art on a real pumpkin (inside joke).

Evidence that I am learning more of the practical side -- mattes with plastic sleeves, guidelines to help me scale the mermaid drawing for what is visible, etc.
Christmas Ornaments - The Beginning
This is essentially where my Düüdles began: I was struggling to paint on a blank ceramic ornament, but that is a much more difficult surface than canvas.
In a moment of frustration I picked up a clean blank and drew on it with a Sharpie. Surprised at the result, I tried again with finer and finer markers and pens.
My hubby took some of the ornaments to work and sold them. I was so surprised and happy I spent the holidays finding ways to use the unexpected income to help others in need.
One of my favorite earlier works.
Not everyone sees the love birds right away.
ornaments -- work in progress
After my initial set of ornaments I tried experimenting with colors, but doing that seemed to lose more than it gained so I generally stick to black ink now.
Painting is still a challenge so I only do a very limited number of those, usually for close friends.
boy and dog and ice cream - friendship ensues
Even though I love meeting people and seeing their reactions to my work, I will be taking time off from art shows to focus on putting together a book.
I have many ideas but not nearly enough time or talent to do everything I want.
